Aims & Scope

“Bedër Journal of Educational Sciences” (BJES) is published biannually by the Research Center for Sustainable Development and Innovation at University College “Beder”. Since 2012, BJES has served as a scholarly double-blind peer reviewed journal with an esteemed Editorial Board, in which eminent scholars from the Balkans, Europe and beyond are part.

Consistent with the larger mission of CSDI, the journal is dedicated to promoting the exchange of contemporary research especially from educational sciences, social sciences, philology, the humanities and interrelated disciplines, including research on cultural, literary, anthropological, technological, political and economic studies.

BJES responds to the need for more productive collaboration among academics, researchers, scholars conducting research in various disciplines. It is especially concerned with challenges arising from contemporary transformations, innovations and challenges in educational, social, literary, cultural, religious, political, historical studies and beyond. Hence, BJES is committed to theoretical innovation and new modes of empirical research.

BJES welcomes a wide range of original articles, research papers, proposed models, reviews of current literature, book reviews and so on. It welcomes manuscripts from researchers, scholars, field professionals, advanced graduate students, early career scholars, and theorists. Consistent with the purpose of BJES, manuscripts should focus on the advancement of knowledge, theory, research and/or the reflection of various innovative approaches.

BJES is published biannually, and it is blind-peer reviewed by the Editorial Board Members. The official language of the academic articles is English, yet a maximum of the 30% of the articles published in one issue may be in the Albanian language.

BJES allows the author(s) to hold the copyright of their work without restrictions and to retain publishing rights without restrictions. The authors are responsible for the originality and the facts contained in the articles and for the opinions expressed therein, which are not necessarily those of BJES and do not commit to the editing process.

Beder Journal of Educational Sciences (BJES) is committed to real and immediate open access for academic work. All of the BJES’s articles and reviews are free to access immediately from the date of publication. There are no author charges (commonly known as APCs) prior to publication, and no charge for any reader to download articles and reviews for their own scholarly use.

BJES does not, therefore, operate either a Gold or Green model of open access, but is free to all at any time and in perpetuity. To facilitate this, BJES depends upon the financial underwriting provided by the Department of Education and English Language at Beder University College, the goodwill of its editorial team and advisory board, and the continuing support of its network of peer reviewers.
