Aims & Scope

 

Department of Education and English Language, part of the Faculty of Humanities and Law at University College “Beder” offers “Beder Journal of Educational Sciences” (BJES) published two issues per year. Since 2012, BJES became a scholarly  double-blind peer reviewed journal with an Editorial Review Board including eminent scholars from the Balkans, Europe and beyond. 

Consistent with the larger mission of the department, the journal is dedicated to knowledge especially from educational sciences, social sciences, philology and humanities. BJES aims at serving the research interests of scientists working in various educational areas to related theories and practices of Education, Philology, Social Sciences and Humanities.

BJES responds to the need for more productive collaboration among academics, researchers, scholars conducting research in the fields of education, social sciences and humanities. It is especially concerned with challenges arising from contemporary transformations of education, social, cultural, religious, political, global etc. given the statist of the marginalization of social processes in many approaches. BJES is committed to theoretical innovation and new modes of empirical research.

BJES welcomes a wide range of original articles, research papers, proposed models, reviews of current literature, book reviews etc. Our journal welcomes manuscripts from researchers, scholars, field professionals, advanced graduate students, early career scholars, and theorists. Consistent with the purpose of BJES, manuscripts should focus on knowledge in the service of practice, research, theory or reflection of a wide range levels of education, philology, social sciences and humanities.

BJES is published two issues per year, and it is peer reviewed by the editorial board members. Official language of academic articles is English but for special issues Albanian language is considered. 

BJES allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions and to retain publishing rights without restrictions. The authors are responsible for the originality and the facts contained in the articles and for the opinions expressed therein, which are not necessarily those of BJES and do not commit to the editing process.

OPEN ACCESS STATEMENT

Beder Journal of Educational Sciences (BJES) is committed to real and immediate open access for academic work. All of the BJES’s articles and reviews are free to access immediately from the date of publication. There are no author charges (commonly known as APCs) prior to publication, and no charge for any reader to download articles and reviews for their own scholarly use.

BJES does not, therefore, operate either a Gold or Green model of open access, but is free to all at any time and in perpetuity. To facilitate this, BJES depends upon the financial underwriting provided by the Department of Education and English Language at Beder University College, the goodwill of its editorial team and advisory board, and the continuing support of its network of peer reviewers.
